CENG 120 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS
TERM PROJECT
Part 1:
You are expected to prepare a Word Document
containing the features listed below. You are free to choose any subject for
your individual term project.
- Your word document should be at least three pages
including title page.
- Insert page numbers but do not show number on the
title page.
- Page margins should be as following:
Top: 3cm Bottom: 2cm Left: 3cm
Right: 2cm
- Paragraph format should be as following:
Alignment :
Justified , First Line Indent by 1,5 cm , Spacing After 6 pt
- At least one paragraph should be more than one column.
- Font format:
Font Face: Verdana Size: 12
- Insert header named CENG 120 2008-2009 Spring Term Project.
- Prepare a title page which includes title of your
subject, your name, surname, student number and department.Use the WordArt
for the title of your subject!
- Use Numbered List and/or Bulleted List property for
any list items.
- Insert a table at least 5 columns and 6 rows. The
first row should be merged for writing the title of table.
- Insert a Clip Art related with your subject , and use
the text wrapping property.
The grading will be done according to the existence and
correct use of the above features!
Part 2:
You are expected to prepare an Excel Workbook
containing the features listed below. You are free to choose any subject for
your individual term project.
- Your workbook should include a title of your subject.
- Your Excel worksheet should contain at least 20 data
for 5 fields. (i.e. 20 rows, 5 columns)
- You should use at least 5 different formulas including
ecxel built-in functions such as min, max etc. (You must write your own
formulas. e.g. E5*0,25+D5*0,75)
- Absolute cell references (e.g. $A$1) should be used in
your formulas.
- IF and VLOOKUP functions should be used.
- Include an excel chart as new sheet in your workbook
(choose the suitable chart type for your data).
- There are no restrictions in the color and font of the
text in your worksheet.
The grading will be done according to the existence and
correct use of the above features!
Important
Note:
1.
Do not use any laboratory exercise!
2. Upload
your term project to
http://webonline.cankaya.edu.tr until May 10, 2009 before 10:00 PM. Late
submissions will not be accepted.
3. Term
projects will be evaluated at the first laboratory hours between 11 and 12 May 2009. You will be asked questions about the above features during
evaluation.
